If you are looking for a place where you can venture your holiday vacation, you should have to visit France. This romantic place has been rushed by millions of travelers from all over the world because of its unique and incredible beauty. One of the rushing cities of France is Bordeaux. Known as well as the capital city of Aquitaine, Bordeaux is famous for its museums, architectures, wine, chateaux and universities. Due to that, the city has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Bordeaux is also called the “City of Art and History” it enjoys hot summers and mild winters the whole year round, which makes it perfect for every traveler coming from the different corners of the world.

Though Bordeaux has fewer skyscrapers compared to the other cities of France however, it has a variety of scenery that you can never see in the other city of France. You can easily tour around the city by foot and if you feel tired there are a lot of local buses that you can ride with or you can rent a bicycle as well. Some of the interesting places to visit in Bordeaux are the Gambetta and the Roman Victory Arch. The Gambetta is also known as the little Paris which features magnificent architecture. This is the best location as well to do shopping. While the Roman Victory, is the best area if you are looking for a place that has been abounding with sports bars and dynamic pubs.

Another thing that you can do in Bordeaux is wandering around the River Garonne banks which are also known as the ‘Les Quais’. Also, enjoy the Pont Neuf which is also known as the oldest bridge of Bordeaux. Eat on their French cuisine in one of the fine restaurant of the city. For sure you will love what you have got here. Bordeaux is one of the amazing cities of France and visiting the place is like a dream come true.

France is a wonderful country. Most of us view a visit to France as an expensive journey. Perhaps I will let you in for a little secret for a cheap travel to France. It is the way you choose and in what time you had chosen that makes a great difference in your pocket. I do not under estimate the comfort that luxury lodging and hotel accommodation gives to a tourist. But if you are on a more budgeted travel it is very impractical on spending a greater percentage of your money to accommodation and sacrificing the expenses on sight seeing. Why not spend lesser on a dramatically cheaper accommodation and spend your money getting to know more of France?

The France destination is a very great factor in your cheap travel. If you go to an expensive city full with gawking tourist then you should expect to pay the expensive tourist price. But why not choose for a less tourist-ridden neighborhood in which you can choose for a spacious and comfortable yet cheap apartment as your base and pay less per day or per fortnight. Almost everything on this neighborhood is made of cheat food, cheap accommodation but with a full load of French experience. Cheap vacation France is indeed a possible dream for you.

How about if you wanted to experience a French urban lifestyle on a budgeted money?
Is this possible? Yes definitely if you rent a cheaper place in a neighboring, not urbanized location and visit the place during the evening for nightlife and for sight seeing tour during the day. You can save so much with your travel without missing a single factor on your France travel.

If you are aiming for cheap travel Paris France then do not include a breakfast as you book your accommodation for this cost so much. Why not hunt for a cheaper place in the area that the locals patronize so that you can save on food? Locals only patronize food with reasonable prices so go and hunt for that kind of restaurant.

France is one of the most visited countries of most of the travelers abroad. Most of the country’s regions offer incredible attractions and activities, no wonder most of the vacationers abroad kept coming here every year. One of the most visited regions in France is Bordeaux. The region is also known as the capital of Aquitaine, particularly located in the southwestern of France. Bordeaux is popular due to its museums, universities, wine and chateaux that make it on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Bordeaux is also known as the “City of Art and History”; the city has hot summers and mild winters. Due to that, the city has been rushed with millions of visitors the whole year round.

Bordeaux does not have high hills and amazing skyscrapers, yet the city is easy to tour around by bicycle or by foot. You can also easily find local buses and electric tram here because there are several of them to choose with, so it is not really a problem when it comes to Bordeaux’s transportation.

Some of the interesting places to visit in Bordeaux are the following:

The Gambetta Square – or also called the ‘Little Paris’. This area is a great place to visit because of its wonderful architecture. Gambetta as well is a great shopping center, despite the fact that Paris is known as the heart of fashion world however, you can also find several boutiques here with very affordable prices.

The Roman Victory Arch – it is located at the heart of La Victoire, one of the best places to visit in Bordeaux. Roman Victory Arch is also famous because of its dynamic pubs and sports bars. For you to entirely see the view of the city, mounting to Saint-Michel which is in the heart of the city is the best thing that you should have to do.

If you plan to visit France for your holiday vacation, you must have to plan for it ahead of time before everything goes complicated because France is a rushing country and you should have to remember that booking for your accommodation and flights here is critical due to the myriad number of vacationers coming here the whole year round.

France is a refreshing vacation destination. The culture is very smooth and nice. You will find several differences with the American culture. From the opening of doors to how the conversation should be done. France Travel Information should include the subtleties in engaging with a French culture.

There are several activities to engage on your holiday in France. Any self respecting tourist should remember to visit the Eiffel Tower. It is beautiful and charming. One can also do what locals do- buy a French bread and find a comfortable place to view the Eiffel tower from a distance as it lights up every 10 minutes or so.

I can not point out what is really charming in this country. But one thing for sure the French people are a friendly bunch of locals. They love tourist who speaks the French language even with the wrong grammar and pronunciation. I remember during our France vacation last autumn on how the locals guide us to our destination.

France as a whole is very interesting but I have fallen in love with the fall and autumn season in France. It is the kind of sceneries that are capture for post cards and cards in general. France Travel Information usually includes one or two autumn picture to attract tourist and it always did. ‘Leaf Peeping‘ is their term on the watching and photographing of leaves and plant during these two seasons.

I could not believe that I am seeing the contrasting colors and it enthralls me to be just there. The whole picture of France in autumn captures my heart. It awakens a lonely and sighing emotion in me. It made me cry. It made me happy and longing at the same.

France has very dramatic effect on me. In some way I was jovial during my holiday in France and I just love going back to this country.

The stages profiles are: 10 flat stages, 1 team time-trial stage, 7 mountain stages, 2 individual time-trial stages, 1 medium mountain stage. The race will start from Rotterdam an urban center in France.

As of the writing of the article, tour de France is already on their 6th stage in Spain which is from Gerona to Barcelona with leading bikers Fabian Cancellara, Lance Armstrong and Cadel Evans.

Tour de France is the most prestigious and famous among so many similar races in the world. If compared to the same races in Italy and Spain, by far tour de France is the most grand. Tour de France is a yearly bicycle race event that races a 3,500 kilometers of distance throughout the whole country of France and also including the bordering countries.

The race usually last in an average of 23 days and is broken down into several segments which they termed as stages. The events attract bikers all over the world bringing with them the latest of the bicycle from the famous bicycle makers. A yellow jersey will be worn by the rider with the least minimum elapsed time.

The course each changes but it ends up every year in Paris. This race events has really great history, Greg Lemond prove that one can be a winner without winning stage in 1990. It must be truly a surprise for the spectators then. It was in 1904 when the shortest race distance happened with only 2,420 kilometers and in 1926 it was the longest race ever with 5,745 kilometers.

At this time the photographers and artist are already making a feast of photographs to capture the moment. Lance Armstrong seems to be always on the front page of the news. Televisions are turned on for live coverage of the said event. Tour de France winners are considered the most popular among the athletes at this time of the year.

France has a particular French way of saying Merry Christmas, called Joyeux Noël. The many religious traditions in France are widely evident during the holiday period. Among these are the re-enactments of the birth of Jesus seen in different towns and outside the cathedrals, and displays of nativity scenes with the use of figurines and objects are evident in most local homes.

Also, French children know their own version of Santa Claus as Père Noël, who gives goodies for them as well. Children would leave their shoes by the fireplace at night for Père Noël to fill it with candies and gifts. It is much in the same manner in most American homes wherein children hung their stockings by the fireplace for Santa Claus to put candies in it.

The feast of Sainte Barbe on December 4 officially marks the beginning of Christmas in Provence. On that day people spread wheat grains in a saucer and cover it with dampened cotton. The grains are watered daily so that by Christmas they sprout producing a dish of green sprouts that portends a bountiful harvest for the upcoming year. Otherwise, if the grains rot it predicts the harvest to be poor.

The Christmas Eve is the best time of the Christmas season, made more spiritual and special than on the Christmas day itself. In Provence, gros souper or big supper, is served before the Midnight mass. The dinner table will have three white table cloths symbolic of the Trinity, as well as three white candles. However, outside Provence, citizens acknowledge local meal as the le Réveillon and is accompanied by the famous French Christmas dessert called la buche de Noël, which means Christmas log.
The nativity scenes, Père Noël, wheat tradition, gros souper and le Réveillon are just some of the many unusual Christmas customs experienced in France.

If those activities are far too extreme for you then why not take a plunge and learn how to swim and dive at Nico Plongee and get a diploma for those activities. What is nice hear is there are also activites for the kids! So, the whole family can join in the fun. Swimming Lessons start from March 15th to June 15th every year.
